About Us
The SFMC is a nonprofit organization providing a facility for Christian outreach ministries. Our Aim is to offer:
- Centralized services so that clients can be served by multiple ministries in one central location.
- Reduction of the duplication of services and strengthening ministries by bringing different ministries together into one building.
- Promotion of holistic healing so that guests can experience peace spiritually, physically, emotionally and financially.
- Empowerment of ministries to focus on people and programs by keeping tenant lease rates low.
Our Vision
The vision of The SFMC is to serve as a “ministry mall” where guests can be walked 30 feet down the hall to the warm handshake of another outreach ministry, rather than being directed 30 blocks down the road with a brochure in hand. The facility provides convenience for the guests, but more importantly, effectiveness in ministries partnering together to help people experience peace.
It is the intention of The SFMC to follow the model of Jesus’ ministry as He offered healing to the whole person, both by word and in deed (Luke 4:31-44.) In essence, The SFMC brings ministries together for a “one-stop ministry shop” so people can experience peace spiritually, physically, emotionally and financially. A variety of ministries are absolutely necessary as each brings an unique set of gifts and talents.
A guiding passage of scripture for The SFMC is from I Corinthians 12 where the body of Christ is described as having many different gifts but all for the common good. “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord….the Spirit is given for the common good” (1 Corinthians 12:4-5,7).
